Ascension Book Club (ABC)

James, a novel by Percival Everett, tells Jim's side of the story from Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Using humor and painful observations, the author shares a tender picture of Jim's determination, intelligence, and compassion. Join us at 9:30 AM on June 22nd for discussion.

Meet-N-Eat (FREE Meal)

Meals will be available at the south entrance between 5:30 and 6:15 pm.

Park in the south lot at the direction of the parking lot attendants and come inside for your meals.  You can still grab and go, but we would love it if you could stay and eat with us.  Bring the family, friends, neighbors!  

All are welcome to come to Ascension for a FREE meal.  We start serving at 5:30 PM.  We provide a hot meal and dessert to anyone who would like to join us.  This ministry to our community is a simple way for us to say, "We care about each and every person in our community."  Ascension believes in Sharing Christ's Love in tangible ways that make a difference in people's lives.  So please join us on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month for some great food and conversation.  If you would like to volunteer to help with this meal ministry no need to sign up anymore, just show up at 4 or 5pm.

Join us at C"hat"ters

In 2025 we made 140 pairs of mittens, 643 hats and 180 blankets! 

 These were donated to the C.H.A.P. store Christmas Joy program and were distributed to those in need this Christmas season.

Our goal is to do as many as possible and also to have lots of conversation, laughter and goodies along the way.  We'd love to have you join us when you can, even if you aren't crafty. More chatter is always welcome and you can learn to knit, crochet or cut out patterns if you'd like. 

 Mark calendars for the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 9:30 am. 
(always check the calendar to make sure we are meeting as the holidays often disrupt our regular gatherings)
